My Story

Adam Rumack

I’ve spent most of my life learning by doing—guiding in wild places, studying and working side-by-side with great teachers, sitting with people in moments that ask for honesty and courage, and learning about life, from life. I’m endlessly curious about what helps us come alive and stay connected, and I try to pay close attention; to the land underfoot, the breath moving through the body, and the stories people quietly carry.

Get in Touch

My work has grown from several threads woven over time.

I am a certified Immunity to Change coach and Senior Council Trainer, trained in adult development and facilitation, and I’ve coached individuals, teams, and organizations across sectors. I’ve worked extensively with incarcerated people training to facilitate healing and restorative justice circles in prisons, and I’ve guided change in some of the world largest institutions and corporations, including the US Airforce, Northrup Grumman, and Canva.

I’ve guided wilderness trips for youth, adults, veterans, and first responders, I’ve practiced and studied Ashtanga Yoga for nearly three decades, completed more than 4,000 hours of formal training, and apprenticed under remarkable teachers, primarily Dena Kingsberg. My yoga teaching draws from classical practice and trauma-sensitive approaches, with additional and extensive training in Trauma Studies and non-clinical approaches to healing and wholing.

Across all of these threads—yoga, coaching, guiding—my work is rooted in the same core values: respect, agency, presence, and curiosity. I believe learning happens in real time, shaped by relationship and context, and that growth often unfolds more quietly and kindly than we imagine.

While I’m raising a family, have programs in multiple states, worked with nonprofit, corporate, and school communities, and many other endeavors, I still consider myself a student before anything else. At heart, I’m someone who walks alongside others, helping them find steadiness, direction, and a sense of belonging within themselves, with one another, and with the more-than-human world that holds us, sharing practices that have helped me again and again.
